WORCESTER, Mass. - Bob Mahoney started and has run the Worcester Youth Flag Football League for the past 24 years.
It's a labor of love for Mahoney, who gives kids ages 4-13 a great experience. They practice once a week and play one game a week, the kids just love the league and everything that comes with it.
"To play with my friends, I love football," said 6-year-old Michael Lahey when asked what he likes about the league.
"I play hard, I guess, it's just a fun sport," said 7-year-old Jack Andreoli
"It's the best league I've ever been in, in my life," said 7-year-old Cam Perez
"It teaches me to work well with others," said 13-year-old Jorhi Campbell. "I like flag because you focus more on the fundamentals."
"This league, they gave me an opportunity to show how good I really am, said 11-year-old Henry Adjer. "Like, they taught me well. Every team that I've been on, the coaches have been teaching me well."
