WORCESTER, Mass. - The Doherty field hockey team beat Dartmouth 6-0 in the round of 32 Division 2 state playoffs on Monday night at O'Connell Field.  

Marissa Smachetti scored twice, Amelia Felicetti had two goals and an assist, Caleigh Moriarty scored on a brilliant rush and Chloe Gervais netted her first varsity goal in the win.  

Brenna McGuire got the shutout recording six saves.  

"So I think we had a great win here tonight," said Doherty forward Sarah DeFusco. "We all worked very hard this was a big game for us. [In the] first round of the playoffs we came out very hard and we had a lot of energy. And we just played together really great, we took the win and we all contributed very well."

Doherty is 15-3-1
