WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross football team is 1-0 in Patriot League play, and the Crusaders are hosting Fordham at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 in a game you can see live on Spectrum News 1.
The Crusaders are coming off a big 38-7 win over Colgate, and to keep it rolling, they say they have to play as a team, where everyone executes.
"We have to really go out there and put together a team game," said defensive end Christian Ross. "And make sure everybody does all their jobs individually, to got out there and win that game and be successful."
"I think everyone has to do their one-eleventh," said strong safety Ryan Ruane. "If everyone does their job and stays on their task, I think we'll be successful."
"Run the ball, most definitely, of course, we got to put the game on our backs," said offensive lineman Cam McNair. "We would love to see number 31 get in the end zone, number 26, of course, the guys, we have to pass the ball, too. We're going to do a little bit of everything. We have to get our playmakers the ball."
Holy Cross is 2-4 overall; Fordham, 0-6.
