ADAMS, Mass. – The town of Adams welcomed the public to the opening of the Greylock Glen outdoor center with a ribbon-cutting.

The almost $10 million project mainly paid for by state and federal grants was built to help boost economic development in the Berkshire County community.

“Greylock Glen will serve as a community gathering space to begin and end your recreational adventure on the Glen and beyond. Meet your hiking party here, go enjoy your time on the mountain and then return here to rest recharge and relax,” said the outdoor centers' Executive Director Michael Wynn.

When entering the outdoor center, you will notice an exhibition space, a “great hall” with a fireplace and seating, as well as a space for snacks and drinks.

Mass Audubon will soon bring educational programs to the center as well.
