WORCESTER, Mass. — The Worcester State football team has a had a few down seasons recently. Now, under interim head coach Zach Besaw, the Lancers are building the pride back in the program.

"The team has been awesome so far. We have 20 seniors that have really contributed to the team," said Besaw.

"We got a great group of guys this year," said wideout Deion Osei-Sarpong. "Especially struggling off of prior years, we got a senior-led group of guys."

Worcester State has a bye this week, but hosts UMass-Dartmouth on October 19 at noon.
