WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State University football team is building something under interm Head Coach Zach Besaw.
The Lancers are 2-2 on the season but more importantly, they are sticking to the plan and improving every day.
On Saturday, the Lancers have a big league matchup against Bridgewater State. They know it will be physical, and they know the key to winning is being the most physical team on the field.
"The keys to beating Bridgewater, we have to execute, we have to play fast, we have to play physical," said wide receiver Deion Osei-Sarpong. "There's going to be highs and lows, but maintaining the course, staying in the moment and going out and executing the very next play. That will get us to where we want to be. And hopefully, that will be a win on Saturday."
"Keys? Simple, be more physical than them," said offensive lineman Austin Michaelson. "They are a physical team. We're going to be more physical, we're going to run the ball. That's our identity this year, we're going to run the ball."
Worcester State plays at Bridgewater State at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
