WORCESTER, Mass. — The City of Worcester has unveiled their five-year strategic plan with a goal of being the best managed city in the country.

City leaders met with residents for the past two years to get feedback on what they want to see for the future of Worcester.

The top six priority goals are public health and safety, affordable neighborhoods and reducing homelessness, clean city initiatives, economic growth, high performing government and strong financial health and an investment in quality education.

"We put together this plan that will create a road map for us as a municipality in our departments to be able to achieve and provide the quality of service that we need to for our residents," said City Manager Eric Batista.

The plan outlines specific action items and how they plan to fulfill their six goals.
