WORCESTER, Mass. - Northbridge (1-0) led throughout the game before a West Boylston (0-1) fourth quarter rally forced overtime. The Rams posted the only score in the extra period to win 36-28. Joel LaChapelle and Adam Flauto paced the Rams offense while Connor Rice and Stephen Simpson led the way for the two-time defending state champion Lions. 

Matteus Matteo threw two touchdown passes to help lead Millbury (1-0) past Assabet Valley (0-1) in Marlborough. The Woolies started fast en route to a 42-14 win. 

Doherty (1-0) quarterback Josh Romeo ran for two scores and passed for another in the Highlanders 31-14 win at Algonquin (1-1).
