PITTSFIELD, Mass. – People in the community were able to walk into the Holiday Inn & Suites in Pittsfield to pick up business attire for free.
Dress for Success Western Massachusetts and the Berkshire District Attorney's Office partnered to provide the clothes to the community.
The district attorney's office coordinated clothing donations from around the county for the past two years.
“To help anybody get back on their feet, there’s a lot of people that want a nice job, you know, and first appearance is everything and confidence is everything, you know? So to give someone confidence to get out there and to get back on their feet again means everything to me,” said Kathleen DeWitt-Allen, community engagement coordinator for the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office.
The district attorney's office in North Adams and Pittsfield is taking donations yearround for the next Dress for Success event that is expected in April.
You can drop off professional clothing, shoes and accessories to their office 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
