Senior quarterback Joe Pesansky found sophomore Charly Mullaly, who scored his first career touchdown to bring Holy Cross within three.
Senior running back Jordan Fuller then scored the go-ahead touchdown with under two minutes to play, but the Rams answered with a touchdown at 19 seconds left in the game to win 20-17.
Fuller finished the day with 139 yards. He extended his record for the program's all-time leader in career rushing touchdowns to 41.
The Crusaders defense forced six fumbles and recovered three during the game.
