WORCESTER, Mass. — Hundreds turned out to the Canal District Saturday for the third annual Polish Festival.

The festivities were hosted by the White Eagle. The bar became an established Polish club in 1937 in what they describe as a very Polish part of the city. The day, which is highlighted by traditional Polish cuisine, music and entertainment, is part of an effort to grow and celebrate the history of the Polish community throughout central Massachusetts.

"Anyone who goes to our Polish festival today can expect an awesome time," organizer Agata Wozniak said. "We have a lot of our own food, Polish Plate, golumpki, pierogi, we have vendors and sponsors. So, we have Polish Prince Pierogi, we've got Marowski Barbecue, we've got Batch Ice Cream, we've got Spicy Water sampling liquor. We have raffles, we have vendors, we have dancers."
