NEW YORK CITY, NY. - Video of a Central Massachusetts man's meeting with Tom Brady is circulating through social media.
The local sports fan is now sharing his excitement over this big encounter.
Kevin Randall was at the inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC selling sports cards this past weekend, when Brady stopped by his booth.
He said he worked as a teacher for more than a decade before leaving to become a sports card dealer full-time a couple of years ago.
In the video of their interaction, Brady compliments Randall's collection.
Randall said Brady's cards have been instrumental in his career.
"He walked up to the booth, we kind of introduced ourselves, shook his hand, and then he kind of just said, what do you got for me today? I said, well, Tom, I know that you’re a big you know, from some of the Bay Area big Koe Montana fan so I have an autograph card here with your signature and Joe Montana’s on it” said Randall. “And that led to a really cool conversation about his autograph and how it’s progressed. You know, how his rookie signature he tried to model after his dad. Then he kind of switched it to kind of look more like his name and be a little shorter and how he put the 12 inside the ‘B.’ It was really cool to have him kind of give that information for the first time at our booth. It was just such a cool experience. I had to be very appreciative to him and thank him for how he's indirectly affected my life.”
Brady bought five of his cards.
Randall sells a lot of his cards on his Instagram page, @dacaptain37.
