WORCESTER, Mass. - The summer edition of Worcester's Restaurant Week runs through the weekend.

Organizers said August is typically a slow time in the restaurant industry and the event aims to bring people out to support local businesses.

More than 30 eateries are offering a special deal of $29.24 for a three-course meal.

Some restaurants are offering a premium option for just a few more dollars.

Organizer Paul Giorgio said it's a great way for customers to help support local restaurants and maybe try somewhere new.

“It hasn't come back to pre-COVID,” said Giorgio. “Restaurants are struggling getting staff, supply chain issues, and just people aren't going out as much as they were pre-covid. You know, there were restaurants that were packed on a Friday at lunch that are half full now.”

Some participating restaurants include Armsby Abbey, the Sole Proprietor and Off the Rails.

The promotion ends on Aug. 10.

The next restaurant week is in March.
