PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a private campaign fundraising event in Pittsfield at The Colonial Theatre.

Vice President Harris arrived at The Colonial Theatre before 3 p.m. on Saturday.

People gathered around outside to show their support.

“I am beyond excited!” Norma Shullman, who attended the event, said.

“I am extremely excited, the last week has been such an exciting time for, I think, the country and for the Democratic Party, but more so than the country. I think it’s great, the energy, the vibrancy that she brings is awesome, I’m so excited” said Lyle Lieberman, who attended the sold-out event.

Others held signs outside and were excited Harris made her way to Pittsfield.

“We took a break to come over and support this wonderful energy that we have. We are very excited that Kamala is in town and that she's running and just the Democratic Party is on fire,” said Nicole Payne.

“I think it’s a great statement of her and her kindness she is still coming to a town of 30 - 40,000 in Western Massachusetts,” said Peggy Schjeldahl.

On top of the Harris support, there were groups holding up signs for former President Donald Trump and Robert Kennedy Jr. A pro-Palestinian protest also occurred downtown during the event.
