WORCESTER, Mass. — Stowe and Degon, the Shrewsbury High School-affiliated team, won the Kingsway Summer Basketball League Championship on Tuesday night at the Bob Cousy courts at Crompton Park 63-51 over Eddie's Super Plaza, the Doherty High School-affiliated team.

Shrewsbury took an early lead and never relinquished it, holding off several runs from Eddie's Super Plaza throughout the game.

For Stowe and Degon, playoff MVP Jack Christopher led a balanced attack, pouring in 17 points. Jesse Osafo had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Nate Nardella had 7 assists for Shrewsbury.

Jamel Walker had 17 points for Doherty.
