BRISTOL, Conn. - The Jesse Burkett Little League All-Star softball team is off to a good start in the Little League Softball New England Region Tournament. The Burkett 11-12 year olds started 2-1.

The kids who live together in dorms as a team and with the other teams in the regionals are loving the whole experience. 

"The experience here has been really cool," said pitcher Sophia Delvalle. "It's cool being a part of this community; we're treated like professionals."

"It's really fun. All the other teams here are so nice," added pitcher Madysen Smith. "They're really sweet. When we played New Hampshire, we're friends with them, so if I was on base, I would say hi to the first baseman and stuff. The girls here are very sweet."
