WORCESTER, Mass. — One of the men challenging Sen. Elizabeth Warren for her senate seat was in Worcester Saturday catching up with local voters.
Republican Ian Cain made a number of stops throughout the city to local businesses. Last week, he launched his "conversations and coffee" tour around the state.
Cain is a five-term city councilmember and the current City Council president in Quincy. He was asked why voters should choose him over Warren.
"She hasn't delivered," Cain said of Warren. "12 years, two terms in the job. She has delivered one piece of legislation with her name on it. People are excited for change. They're looking for someone that's actually going to connect with them in places like this. And it's going to take time to represent their interests instead of actually just trying to be a celebrity."
Cain says illegal immigration is the biggest topic voters have expressed concern over. Cain isn't alone in challenging Warren. Republican John Deaton, a former U.S. Marine and cryptocurrency attorney, is also challenging Warren for her seat. Robert Antonellis is another challenger.
