WORCESTER, Mass. - On Tuesday, political analyst and Boston University professor Matt Motta spoke about a busy start to the week in politics.

JD Vance went from a self-described never Trumper who even compared him to Adolf Hitler to being his pick for vice president.

Motta said even though they may not agree eye to eye on a personal level, they share a similar policy vision and is the person who puts the “ism” in “Trumpism.”

Early Tuesday, a phone call was leaked where Donald Trump was talking to third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. where Trump appeared to echo some of Kennedy’s concerns over the effects of vaccines and hinted towards joining forces.

Motta said it could be an effort for Trump to rekindle a relationship with RFK Jr.

When Trump was elected in 2016 he floated the idea of tapping RFK Jr. to lead a vaccine safety commission.

Motta said when it comes to childhood vaccines, the two have both spread misinformation about their safety and efficacy.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden is still running for president, but Motta said the polling numbers are not good right now. He’s trailing in a series of battleground polls conducted both before and after the debate.
