MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury Little League baseball Junior Division team won the District 5 title last weekend, and now they are in the state semi-finals.
This group of 13-14 year olds has been together playing for years and has won at every level. Millbury plays Scituate Saturday at 10 a.m. at Greenbriar Park in Oxford.
Millbury credits their team chemistry and tight bond for their success.
"I think the biggest thing with us, what makes us so good is we've been playing together so long," said pitcher Ryan Nikiforow. "A bunch of us have been playing together three, four years now, and we've been successful. We all like each other and that's just a huge part, team chemistry plays a huge part in our team's success."
"I think this team being together for how many years we have been really helps us, " said centerfielder David Cadrin. "Because we're all friends together and we all put the work in together to get better, and I think it's really helpful for us."
