WORCESTER, Mass. — Bob Chesney had an incredibly successful run in Worcester the past 11 years as the head football coach at Assumption and then Holy Cross.

Last December, Chesney accepted the head coaching job at James Madison University, and this is the final week for the Chesney's in Worcester.

The whole family will move down to Virginia, so among all the moving boxes Chesney reflected on his and his family's time in Worcester.

"Yeah so here we are at the end of an 11-year run in Worcester, a 14-year run in New England," said Chesney. "I couldn't be more proud or happier or blessed with all the connections and all the people and all the community that embraced us when we first got here. Obviously moving from Newport Rhode Island to Worcester was hard, obviously after being in Worcester for 11 years moving down to Harrisonburg, Virginia, is hard, but have to choose your heart in life, right? It’s not easy. So it's ultimately for us the ability to continue in this profession and continue to reach new heights, and we're really excited for this opportunity and this challenge.  But we'll severely miss everyone here and all the support we had from everyone."
