WORCESTER, Mass. – The Shrewsbury Post 397 American Legion baseball team beat Cherry Valley 15-1 on Monday night.

Shrewsbury put up four runs in each of the first two innings. Gabe Terlato finished the game going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and two runs. Tommy Kursonis was 2 for 4 with three RBI and a run.

On the mound, Brady Chenevert went five innings without allowing an earned run, and had nine strikeouts on the night.

Shrewsbury Manager Frank Vaccaro was pleased with the team's start to the season so far.

"I'm actually excited with the way the team's playing," said Vaccaro. "I thought we could hit, but I didn't realize how well we could hit. Now, we'll see what kind of pitching we get and stay in it."
