WORCESTER, Mass. — Michael Walsh, known to everyone as “Walshy”, passed away on June 19. He was 53 years old.

Walshy was a great soccer and basketball player at Holy Name High School.

He had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed it, without question or hesitation.

He boxed in the Give Kids a Fightin Chance Boxing event to raise money for the Worcester Boys & Girls Club, he won his fight and loved to talk about his boxing. Over the 11 years of the program, he helped raise money every year for the event and the Boys Club.

Walshy was extremely loyal to his family and friends — he was someone you could count on.

He managed a number of restaurants and bars in Worcester and around Central Mass, and was loved by those he managed and the patrons as well.

He will be remembered for his big smile, huge heart and love and loyalty to his family and friends.
