WORCESTER, Mass. — Many students are now out on summer break or they're wrapping up their school year this week. In Worcester, the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District said families have a lot to look forward to the next few months.

Between Movies on the Common and Out to Lunch festivals, the group is hosting 11 events in downtown this summer. The first of six Out to Lunch festival and farmer's markets starts on July 11.

“It's really kind of Worcester’s cultural cornerstone event, because this will be its 14th year and it's really consistent," said Victoria Mariano, the program director. "Really great food vendors, craft and artisan vendors, non-profit vendors and then incredible live music. It's a full experience, so if you come there, you have a lot to do. Even if you just want to take your lunch break there, it's just a really welcomed break.”

The next Movies on the Common is set for July 18. Mariano said the first movie last week hit capacity.
