WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Public Schools hosted their 45th annual Olympics Wednesday at Foley Stadium.
Thirty-four elementary schools from across the district participated in the event, with 12 students from each school, for a total of more than 400 students.
The day included various track and field events like running, throwing and jumping.
Lead coordinator Meghan Paradis said it's like a big field day for students.
"To be able to continue an event to bring in the community for 45 years is just so amazing,” said Paradis. “We have so many different aspects coming in today to support our students and the energy is high."
Students were competing to be the top school in the city.
Union Hill won and is now the back-to-back Mini Olympic champions.
The top six students from each event were also awarded.
