WORCESTER, Mass. — After the viral success of March Meowness, the Worcester Public Library is now hosting dog-themed programming.

The library is collecting pictures of dogs between now and June 15 when their "Dog Days of Summer Reading" program will begin.

Photos collected will be displayed throughout city libraries.

The library said people of all ages can win prizes just for reading.

"March Meowness was something that we never thought would get as big as it did and we were so excited that it did,” said Jason Homer, the library’s executive director. “Over 10,000 people shard photos with us and we're hoping to leverage that into an awesome summer program where we want you to share your dog photos with us, share different things your dogs love to do, and we will tell their story."

The program runs June 15 to Aug. 10 and will also include events like de-stress sessions with dogs and meet-and-greets with service dogs.
