PITTSFIELD, Mass. — It’s a fun activity for school vacation week in the Berkshires.

Kids in Pittsfield are able to take part in a scavenger hunt for Pittsfield’s police comfort dog, Officer Winston.

Downtown Pittsfield Inc. coordinated a program called "celebrate spring" and this week it includes a “Where’s Winston?” scavenger hunt, where kids can search around downtown Pittsfield for a word on one of his posters.

“Each poster has the name of a flower, and by gathering all of those names you then come to the Berkshire Athenaeum and you can get everything from a sticker for participating, a pin for getting a number of them, and the first eight individuals who get them all will receive a stuffed Winston doll,” said Managing Director of Downtown Pittsfield Inc. Rebecca Brien.

The kids can pick up a game card at any participating location and find the poster hidden somewhere in there. Sunday is the last day you can complete this scavenger hunt, but you can still bring your completed game card on Monday.
