WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – The town of Westborough is looking for ways to revitalize its downtown, and its getting the public involved through a scavenger hunt.

The goal is for people to find out about different businesses or features they may not have known about. The town is also looking for ways to make downtown a more pedestrian friendly area.

Westborough's director of planning said it already seems to be working.

“People are really excited,” said Jenny Gingras, the director of planning for Westborough. “We have a lot of high schoolers that walk through downtown to go to the high school and then back to either work at their job downtown, or just hang out in one of the businesses. They thought it was really cool, surprisingly for high schoolers. I thought that was exciting that they wanted to do that. The residents, as well. We've seen a few people walking around you can tell on their phone. They're trying to find the clues."

Anyone can participate in the hunt. It's available digitally and there is a printed version.

The results will be used in a public workshop on April 9.
