Former Holy Cross football stars Jalen Coker and C.J. Hanson are in Texas for the Shrine Bowl, where they are practicing and interviewing all week in front of NFL scouts, executives and coaches.

The two feel that their time at Holy Cross prepared them well for this experience.

"There's nothing like it, we're going against the toughest competition there is in this draft class," Hanson said. "Getting exposure from all 32 teams, getting coached by all NFL coaches right now, you're getting max exposure. Like they say, you're always on camera here. It's a job interview the whole time, just keeping your head up, writing down notes, doing everything you can to make sure that job interview goes right. That's what Holy Cross prepared us really well with. Talking to alumni, we were basically getting job interviews every time we met with them."

"Just like C.J. said, I was at the Hula Bowl already so I got an early taste of this," Coker said. "It's just an amazing opportunity, as a kid you dream about being in this position. And then you're finally here and it's a surreal moment, but then you have to remember, they're just people you're talking to. So in the interview process you really just have to be yourself. Don't overthink it to much, I feel like that's the biggest thing for me that I've grown into."

The Shrine Bowl is Thursday at 8 p.m.
