BROOKFIELD, Mass. – Wednesday marks one year since Brittany Tee went missing, and state and local police are still searching for her.

The 35-year-old Brookfield woman was last seen in the area of Lewis Field on Main Street. Her family reported her missing a few days later to Brookfield Police. State and local police conducted searches in the weeks following, and the district attorney's office resumed a ground search last month.

On Wednesday night, friends and family will hold a candlelight vigil.

"I think it is important to not let her story be forgotten" said vigil organizer Matti Sjoblom. "Her story deserves to be told."

"Growing up in this area, everybody supports everybody, so we're very lucky to have everybody's support in spreading the word," said Tee's sister, Bethany. "I can't count how many times people, even strangers I haven't met, offering help. It's been wonderful."

The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Brookfield Common.

State police and the district attorney's office said they're following up on all leads and investigators continue to receive information.
