WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross football's new head coach Dan Curran was formally introduced at a press conference on campus this week.

Curran spent the last 11 years as the head coach at Merrimack. A Massachusetts native, Curran said Holy Cross was a dream job.

"It's never easy to leave a place you love," Curran said. "Merrimack was a place I love with kids I love. But this opportunity was special, the mission, the values of Holy Cross as an institution couldn't align better with the type of student athletes I want to recruit, how I want to develop and coach. So to me, this was the perfect opportunity with the history and tradition of Holy Cross."

Curran replaces outgoing head coach Bob Chesney, who left the Crusaders after five seasons to become the head coach at James Madison.
