WORCESTER, Mass. - Project New Hope is looking to give back to veterans in need by supporting those who risked their lives for freedom.

The nonprofit has supported veterans and their families for over a decade. This year the organization is hosting a male veterans wellness retreat, where they will experience different types of therapy.

"The Cortina method is a brain-based healing methodology to resolve trauma and PTSD, sometimes in as little as a single visit," said Michael Cortina, president and CEO of the Cortina Method. "It involves brain optimization and processing. There's a strategic protocol rooted in neuroscience with an emphasis on people not having to re-live and re-experience pain of the trauma they've already survived."

Cortina went on to say, his method of healing veterans has been in use for decades. The next retreat is set to take place from Nov. 2 – 6.
