MILLBURY, Mass. — Sunday was chilly compared to the last few days, but some Central Massachusetts families got into the spooky spirit.
Stowe Farm in Millbury hosting a Halloween party, as the spooky holiday approaches. Kids had a chance to hop on for an old-west train ride, see a parade, and there was even a visit with the one and only Mickey Mouse.
The farm has been in the family for six generations. They say this kind of celebration has been something they've done for many years.
"It's really special, it's especially special for us just because it's our family farm, and then we get to welcome all these other people to come in and enjoy what we get to enjoy every day," said Stowe Farm's Maura Stowe. "We get a lot of families that come back, and they tell us that they're coming back with their next generation and their next generation. So it's great to hear that so many people come back year after year."
"It's a good day, planning on getting some pumpkins, do a little carving later on, and it's just a good time," said Andrew Bergeron, who was visiting the farm Sunday.
The festivities also featured a pig race.
The farm plans on doing something special for Thanksgiving too, but plans are still in the works.
