WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team is on the road this weekend taking on Bucknell.
The Crusaders are 1-0 in Patriot League play and know that winning the conference is their ticket to the NCAA playoffs. They also know Bucknell is a tough team that would love to upset Holy Cross, so they have to be ready and focus on controlling what they can control.
"Going back to the Patriot League, I think about it as playoff football from here on out," said offensive tackle Luke Newman. "Bucknell's obviously a team that we're very familiar with, they're going to be a tough group. They're obviously looking forward to playing us as I can imagine, and really it's going to take a lot of focus.
"I mean, obviously we need a big bounce back week from last week. And getting back on track, focusing up in practice, watching tons of film and just doing all the little things, that we can do to make sure we handle business on Saturday."
"We just have to do a great job of keeping people in front of us." said free safety Curtis Harris-Lopez. "They have lot of vertical routes that we have to make sure we shut down. They have a great quarterback that we have to stop. They have a couple great running backs, same with wide receivers. We just have to do our job this week."
Saturday's game kicks off at 1:00 p.m.
