WORCESTER, Mass. - Girls Inc. of Worcester is welcoming in a familiar face, Tiffany Lillie, as their new chief executive officer.

Lillie calls it a full circle moment. Working at Girls Inc. was the first job she ever held, and now she's their CEO. Born and raised in Worcester, Lillie said she knows how much this program means to young girls.

Using her background in youth work, Lillie said she wants to focus on leadership skills, mental health and healing.

"The girls in our community, what do they want to see?" she said. "This is really their program and how can we support them. So for me, a lot of listening and then co-creating in terms of what we can do to be more responsive and build partnerships and heal. I know there has been a lot of challenges and we are up for it, and I think its important we carve out time for healing and listening."

Girls Inc.'s former CEO was placed on leave in May following an investigation into workplace equity issues. Lillie is set to start as CEO on Oct. 25.
