WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross Football team is almost done with preseason camp. The Crusaders finish up this week and then it's onto game week as they prepare for their season opener.

Holy Cross has been working hard during camp and competing against one another every day. The players and coaches like the way the team looks.

"Feeling excited, feeling great, everyone's looking great," said offensive lineman Eric Schon. "I think training camp is a time for everyone to compete without the stress of having an opponent on Saturday. It's a great chance to compete and show everyone what you got."

"Camp is going great so far, it's crazy how we're almost at the end of it," said linebacker Dante Bolden. "All August, offense, defense, special teams everyone has been giving it their all. Every single day every single play and it's excited to see. So a time like this where it's football only, no school and everyone's just locked in on football, it's exciting."

"It's been a very competitive and fun camp, I feel like we go against the best offense in the country every single day," said linebacker Jacob Dobbs. "And that's a great challenge for a defense that's replacing a lot of guys. I'm extremely proud of our effort and intensity on defense."

Holy Cross opens the season at home against Merrimack on Saturday, Sept. 2.
