WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team officially opened their season with the first practice of the year this week.
As you would expect of a Bob Chesney coached team the energy was high and guys were flying around the field and everyone was pumped to be back on the field with coaches doing football drills.
“I went through to every kid and said welcome back, and to every Freshman said welcome," said Head Coach Bob Chesney. "Because this is really their welcome, all the stuff we did over the summer was just preparing them for today. And I think they’re doing an unbelievable job, we’re about half way through and it’s really exciting to watch all the young guys run around and all the old guys lead.”
Holy Cross opens their season on September 2nd at home against Merrimack.
