WORCESTER, Mass. – The Taste of Shrewsbury Street, the annual showcase of local dishes, is returning for another year this Tuesday starting at 5:00 p.m.

More than 30 restaurants on and around Shrewsbury Street in Worcester are participating. The block party features food samples and live entertainment.

While it’s a fun event for residents to attend, Flying Rhino Café owner Paul Barber said it’s also good for the businesses.

"It's about branding the street ‘Restaurant Row,’” Barber said. “It brings people out that realize you can walk from one restaurant to another, go have an appetizer or a drink here, have dinner here, go have dessert here. It shows the great variety on the street and it's great for the restaurants because they keep coming back."

Tickets can be bought ahead of time on the event’s Facebook page or at participating restaurants. Tickets will also be available Tuesday night at the event.
