MILLBURY, Mass. - A home security camera caught a moose making its way through a yard Sunday morning in Millbury near Greenwood Street.

It's just the latest recent wildlife sighting in the area, as reports of bear sightings have been popping up all over central Massachusetts and the rest of the state.

Regional animal control officer Dan Chauvin, said its not uncommon to see moose in town. So far, it's been minding its own business. There's no reports of any interactions with people or cars. Chauvin said the moose is not familiar with the area and is most likely stressed and agitated.

"You're sitting out in your lawn chair with a drink and all of a sudden the moose walks in, don't panic, but you, know, retreat, step away," Chauvin said. "Don't try to approach it, don't try to feed it, don't try to take a selfie with it, just let it be on its way. Enjoy it for the time its there but don't get in front of it. Let him go where he wants to go."

Chauvin guesses the moose in Millbury weighs at least 500 pounds. It was last seen Monday morning near Howe Avenue.
