WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Bravehearts opened their season Wednesday morning at Fitton Field with a 14-11 win over the Norwich Sea Unicorns.

More than 1,500 students from all over central Massachusetts for the first game of the Futures League season. It was a slow start to the game, with the Bravehearts holding a 2-1 lead after three innings before the bats woke up for both teams.

Bravehearts pitcher Andrew Alameda got the start and struck out five, while Tyler Bastunas added some great defense for Worcester in the field.
