WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Railers are supporting local caregivers in honor of National Nurses Month.
Team members handed out 500 flowers Tuesday to nurses at three UMass Memorial Health campuses in Worcester. They also included a voucher for game tickets for next season and a free car wash from ScrubaDub.
"This is all so we can just give back and show appreciation for these nurses who work tirelessly around the clock,” said Tim Foley, the Railers’ media relations coordinator. “They're the real backbone of the community here. It's our way of saying thank you to all of those who need it."
The team visited the Hahnemann, Memorial and University campuses.
