CVS Pharmacy has reached an agreement with the state attorney general's office to pay more than $6 million to settle allegations it failed to follow prescription pricing procedures at several of its locations, including in Worcester.
The A.G.'s office said CVS failed to follow regulations to help keep costs low in the state workers' compensation insurance system.
CVS said they're happy to resolve the matter, but the agreement is not an admission of liability or wrongdoing.
The settlement is part of a review of prescription pricing procedures in the workers’ compensation system. The A.G.'s office previously resolved matters with Express Scripts, Walgreens and Stop & Shop, and says the review has recovered more than $20 million so far.
