BOYLSTON, Mass. – As the weather gets warmer, signs of spring everywhere lately, especially at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill.

Daffodils are in full bloom and now the tulips are starting to steal the show. In their naturalistic gardens, spring ephemerals are also coming up. Tower Hill said the wildflowers play important roles for pollinators and only bloom for a short period of time.

Horticulturalist Hunter Blanchard said while this past winter's weather impacted some spring blooms, several are still popping up.

"As for our spring ephemeral bulbs, it didn't really affect them,” Blanchard said. “We had the daffodil field come up in full force. It looked excellent; it still looks fabulous. Now that it's started to cool down and the nights are a little bit closer to the 50s, all of the spring color is starting to hold on."

Tower Hill is also offering springtime classes and free-drop in activities all season long.
