WEST BOYLSTON, Mass. - People looking to cool down from this week's warm weather flocked to Pinecroft Dairy in West Boylston.

Jeff Paquette bought the restaurant and ice cream shop six months ago and said with the warmer weather, they've been busy the past few days. He said every day has felt like a Friday, which is typically their busiest day of the week.

Paquette said while they are open for lunch and dinner, ice cream has been a popular go to this week, serving more than 100 people Thursday just for ice cream.

“It’s something that I’ve really learned brings people joy in walking up to an ice cream window and ordering what you like for your kids and enjoying the summertime weather, it’s important and special too,” said Paquette. “Pinecroft is a special place for me, it’s a place I came as a kid. Back in the '80s, my parents would take my sister and I here.”

“I came here as a kid and now I’m taking my own kids here,” said customer John Silk. “I’m really happy Jeff is the owner here and has brought the family vibe back to it. We come probably two or three times a month, maybe more.”

Pinecroft is open Wednesday through Sunday. People can buy ice cream throughout the day, but the ice cream window opens at 4 p.m. They have 45 ice cream flavors and it comes from Bliss Dairy in Attleboro.
