WORCESTER, Mass. - A full house welcomed Dave Paulsen to College Hill Thursday as he was introduced as the next head coach of the Holy Cross men’s basketball team.

Paulsen has a long and successful resume, and he is now tasked with turning around the storied program. The Crusaders’ new leader talked about what it means to him to be in the position and how intriguing the job is.

“There’s just such great tradition,” Paulsen said. “I mean, before the press conference I went over to Bob Cousy’s house, like, unbelievable. And the national championship banners and the final four banners, but beyond that, you know, just great success on the court, great success off the court.”

Paulsen comes to College Hill after being on the Fordam staff for the last two years. He is not new to head coaching though, having started his career 20 years ago at Williams College, where he led the Ephs to a national championship. He’s also had success at George Mason and Bucknell.
