WORCESTER, Mass. - For the first time since 2006, the Holy Cross men's hockey team is in the Atlantic Hockey championship game. The Crusaders face Canisius Saturday at 6 p.m., with the winner going onto the NCAA tournament.
The Crusaders are enjoying the run they are on, having beaten American International and RIT to get here.
"It's been a really good run so far," said forward Grayson Constable. "Two solid weekends back-to-back we played good competitors. I think we've also played some really good hockey, a lot of guys have stepped up in a lot of ways. t's been a hell of a run, we're super excited to make the championship."
"I'm excited for the players, certainly they deserve all the credit," said head coach Bill Riga. "I'm excited for the alumni and fans and all supporters of the program to get behind us here and we're looking forward to it."
The Crusaders are the 7-seed in the Atlantic Hockey tournament. They finished the regular season with a 17-20-3 record.
