TAUNTON, Mass. - The North High School boys basketball team beat Newton North 64-57 in the state semifinals Monday night to advance to the Division 1 state championship game. 

The Polar Bears were led by Tahlan Pettway, who had 18 points, and Ty Tabales, who had 13 points, as well as Teshuan Steele, who had 12 points. North was tenacious on defense all game long and great on the glass, going hard after every rebound. 

North will face the winner of North Andover vs. Needham at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell at a time and date to be determined.
