WORCESTER, Mass. - Sunday marks the 41st Annual St. Patrick's Parade in Worcester, one of the largest in New England.
The parade began near Mill Street and continued along Park Avenue, where thousands of people gathered to enjoy the festivities, and watch the more than 20 floats.
"This is probably our 13th year coming, yeah, 13th year coming consistently. I've been coming since I was probably 14," said Lisa Foreman. "I'm around fabulous people with great food and we get to watch a parade, it's awesome."
"Just amazing, I used to go here when I was little, and it's great now that I have my son, he can come and join in the festivities," said Alicia Coakley.
"We're all excited, beautiful day, the weather's holding out, so happy to be out here," said Jay Giangregorio." Kids are excited, everybody's excited, dressing the part, you know, happy to be Irish."
The parade included a visit from almost 100 groups, including the Worcester Fire Brigade Pipes and Drums, Vietnam Veterans for the Community and the Worcester Red Sox.
