WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Police Department has closed its criminal investigation into allegations of misconduct by cheerleading coaches at the Abby Kelley Foster Charter School. No charges will be filed against the coaches.

Several coaches at the school remain administrative leave pending the results of the school's investigation. In a statement, executive director Heidi Paluk said earlier this week the school hired outside counsel to conduct their investigation and may consider further action once it is completed.

The cheerleading program's season was suspended amid the investigation. It's unclear where things stand now at the school.
