BROOKFIELD, Mass. - Police resumed their search Tuesday for 35-year-old Brittany Tee, who hasn't been seen since January 10. The State Police Underwater Recovery Unit was brought to the Brookfield Boat Ramp at Quaboag Pond.
Police are planning to search through multiple ponds in the woods around Lewis Field, where Tee was last spotted. Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said water searches will only be conducted as conditions allow.
The ground search also continued on Tuesday with the State Police Emergency Response Team, a K-9 unit and a trained search and rescue unit.
As the search has gone on, a growing number of local businesses have put up posters and displayed the state police tip line outside their buildings. The tip line can be reached at 508-453-7589.
The community's show of support will also be shown Tuesday evening in a 'Stand Up For Brittany' gathering at the Brookfield Common.
Tee was last seen wearing a black winter coat, a hoodie, jeans and work boots. She is 5 foot 6 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes.
The Worcester County DA's office has also been trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, and Early has said tips from the public are helpful. If you know anything, police urge you to give them a call.
