WORCESTER, Mass. - Saint Vincent Hospital could be facing a strike from another union unless a new contract for technicians and therapists can be agreed upon.

Teamsters Local 170 represents the workers and notified the hospital of a plan to strike on December 26. The union said the hospital has not been flexible in negotiations on pay increases and retirement benefits.

Hospital CEO Carolyn Jackson said in a statement, "We value all of our hardworking teamsters, our tech and therapists, and their steadfast commitment to our patients."

The two sides will meet again Thursday and Friday to try and reach an agreement. A recent strike by the hospital's nurses lasted nearly ten months.
